Aqua Fitness Sessions

Session Schedule 

  • View our Monthly Pool Session Schedule page for the days and times of the various sessions
  • Participants are restricted to the pool area and session times designated for their session type (lap, walk or fitness class) even if sessions overlap. EXAMPLE, a patron that has opted/paid for the lap swim session should not enter/move to the designated aqua walk area to exercise.
  • All participants are required to wear the identifying band provided upon entering at all times. 
  • Age requirements for aqua fitness sessions are as follows:
    • Ages 16 to 17 may participate in sessions but must have a completed MINOR Waiver form (PDF) on file to attend without an adult present. Youth without a completed waiver form on file will not be admitted to the facility without an adult. No Exceptions!   
    • Ages 12 to 15 may participate in sessions, but they must be accompanied by an adult and during lap swim must share a lane with that adult (both individuals must pay the session fee).
  • Participants are expected to follow all session rules and any direction given by the lifeguards on duty. Disruptive behavior toward other patrons will be addressed.   
  • Schedules may vary without notice due to weather, maintenance, instructor, or staff issues - check the monthly pool session schedule regularly for updates.

Fees & Registration

  • View our Pool Fees & Passes page for daily use fees and pass options.  
  • 10 & 30 Visit Passes are currently available for purchase. Passes are good for the duration of the pool season, any unused visits will expire at the end of the season. 
  • Registration: sessions allow for pre-registration or drop-in if session spots remain. 
    • Pre-registration is recommended if you are sure you will attend and wish to ensure your spot (pre-registration ensures a spot but not a specific lane location). Pre-registration may be made online, by phone, or in person (3 days in advance for lap/walk sessions, 7 days in advance for fitness classes)
    • Drop-in participation will be accepted if a session has not been filled through pre-registration and is on a first-come basis. 
    • Payment is made at time of pre-registration or drop-in. 
    • Refunds/same day transfers are not be allowed for pre-registration or drop-in participation.

Online Registration

Lap swim sessions -- Independent fitness

  • Two people per lane when session participation dictates - participants must share a lane and swim/walk on one side of their chosen lap lane
  • The number of lanes available each session will vary dependent on other pool programming (e.g., swim lessons, fitness class, public swim…).
  • No diving or recreational swimming during in lap lanes.
  • Distance is the 25-yard length/50-yard lap.
  • Depth remains the same within a lane. The shallowest lane depth is 4.5 feet, and the deepest is 9 feet.  
  • The number of available swim lanes will vary depending on pool programming.

Aqua walk sessions -- Independent fitness

  • No recreational swimming during aqua walk sessions.
  • If there is a lap swim session offered but not an aqua walk session, patrons may register and walk in one of the shallow lap lanes but we do not guarantee that a shallow lane will be available as lanes are filled/taken on a first-come basis.
  • Aqua walk distance, depth and direction varies dependent on session programming. 
  • Variations are dependent on walking direction (north/south or east/west) and range from 25-30-yard length/50-60 yard lap, 3 to 4.5 depth - walkers must walk in direction indicated by lifeguards..

Fitness Classes -- Instructor-led 

  • Aquacize with Lola 

    • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:00-11:00 am  
      • Tu/Th classes are in the shallow area of the pool
      • Mo/We are in the deep area of the pool (7-9 foot depth).
  • Splash with Ben

    • Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:00 - 11:00 am 
    • All classes are in the shallow area of the pool.
  • Sweat & Swim with Stella

    • Wednesdays & Fridays, 7:00 - 8:00 am 
    • All classes are in the shallow area of the pool.

Recreational swimming is NOT ALLOWED during fitness classes.
