Adopt-A-Spot Program: Make a Difference in Alamogordo!

Are you passionate about keeping Alamogordo beautiful? Do you want to make a positive impact on your community and the environment? Then the Adopt-A-Spot program is for you!

By adopting a spot, you commit to keeping a designated area clean and litter-free. This is a great opportunity to make a visible difference in your neighborhood, promote environmental stewardship, and inspire others to take action.

Here is how to become an Adopt-A-Spot volunteer:

Step 1: Choose Your Spot

Browse the interactive map below to find an available spot that suits your interests and location preferences. Click on a spot to see its details.



Step 2: Complete Your Application & Training

Once you've chosen your spot, please fill out the comprehensive online Adopt-A-Spot application. This form now includes all the necessary steps to get started: you'll provide your group's details, complete the required training, pass a short quiz to confirm your understanding of program guidelines and safety, and electronically sign the Waivers and Program Details form.

Congratulations! You're now an Adopt-A-Spot volunteer!

We'll provide you with a welcome kit containing useful tools and resources to mark your adopted spot. We encourage you to schedule regular clean-ups, report any illegal dumping, and share your experiences with others.

Remember, every little bit counts! By participating in the Adopt-A-Spot program, you're contributing to a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Alamogordo for everyone.
